About Finley
With 5 years of teaching and professional music experience, I am a passionate Piano tutor who values meaningful education. I teach piano to school and college students and focus on building confidence through music.
One important milestone in my journey was preparing students for performances and assessments. These experiences taught me how proper guidance and encouragement help students succeed.
My lessons are structured, simple, and enjoyable. Students learn technique, rhythm, coordination, and expression step by step.
I believe piano learning builds discipline, self-confidence, and creativity. Music allows students to express emotions and develop strong focus.
My teaching style is motivating, supportive, and goal-oriented. I help students set clear goals and celebrate their progress.

I approach piano teaching with a student-centred, adaptive, and holistic methodology, focusing on both technical mastery and creative expression. Every student has a unique learning style, so I adapt lessons to match visual, auditory, or hands-on learners, ensuring every concept—from finger techniques to rhythm and theory—is clearly understood. Communication is at the heart of my approach, allowing students to grasp and apply musical concepts effectively in practice and performance.
To make lessons engaging and meaningful, I incorporate real-life examples and case studies, such as performing favourite songs, analysing classical compositions, or demonstrating music’s role in films and daily life. Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, ear training, improvisation, and beginner composition, providing students with a complete and well-rounded musical education. My methodology encourages technical precision, creative exploration, performance confidence, and disciplined practice, helping students develop a lifelong passion for music and the ability to express themselves through the piano.
