About Ursula
Have you ever wondered how to play piano with complete precision? I teach sight playing and sight reading with a heavy emphasis on jazz improvisation techniques. My approach covers posture and hand position, scales and arpeggios, and rhythm and timing.
Ear training is a core part of my 7 years of experience. I work with students who want to develop a disciplined foundation while maintaining the joy of playing music.

I admit that I prioritize form over speed during the first stage. We start by fixing hand position to ensure long term comfort.
I implement scale drills and sight reading to sharpen your instincts. These exercises build rhythm and timing naturally. You will see progress within 7.0 terms of study. We focus on jazz improvisation concepts to keep things interesting.
I offer detailed critiques of every performance. My goal is to ensure you feel ready for any stage. I look forward to hearing you play soon.
