About Karolyn
I'm a classically trained pianist with a passion for teaching others. I've been playing for over 30 years and teaching for over 20 years in my studio in La Mesa. Some of my favorite composers and influences are Beethoven, Chopin, Bach, Yann Tiersen, Ludovico Einaudi and Hans Zimmer.

I have a true love for teaching people how to play the piano. I specialize in teaching students how to read classical and modern notation, and how to understand and apply basic to advanced musical theory and beginning composition. All musical styles are welcome!
