About Calina
Hi, I’m Calina, a pianist with a Performance degree from Pepperdine University and music therapist with a Master’s degree in Music Therapy from NYU. I’ve been playing piano for over 18 years and teaching for 10+ years, with experience in both performance and competition settings. My work blends strong classical training with a deep understanding of how music supports learning, expression, and confidence. I’m passionate about helping each student grow at their own pace while building solid technique and a genuine connection to music.

My teaching combines strong classical technique with a flexible, student-centered approach tailored to each individual’s goals and learning style. A typical lesson includes warm-ups, technique, repertoire, and skill-building in reading, rhythm, and musical expression. I bring 18+ years of performance experience and 10+ years of teaching, helping students build confidence and real musical ability. Lessons are for all levels -- beginners through advanced, children or adults.
