About Matthew
I'm a classical pianist with a B.Mus. degree from McGill. I've performed in halls as large as Salle Wilfrid Pelletier at Plas-des-Arts with the MSO, and participated in various national music competitions. Alongside performing I'm also a certified piano teacher and have been teaching students of all levels for 5+ years.

Anyone can study with me. I start beginners off by working through the John Thompson or Nancy Faber series (as far as needed before switching gears). Intermediate to advanced students receive a well-rounded repertoire with pieces from different classical eras (baroque, classical, romantic, modern). Students are taught sight reading skills, music theory, scales, ensemble playing, and much more.
I value the opinion of all my students, and choose the most appropriate method of teaching according to their age and objective. My goal is to instil confidence and ease, and pass on what I have learned from my qualified piano professors and my experience performing.
