About Leo
With more than 10 years of experience teaching piano, I specialise in guiding college students to improve technical skills, develop musical understanding, and explore creative expression. My lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style and goals, combining structured technique training with innovative and engaging methods such as improvisation, composition, modern music adaptations, and digital tools.
I emphasise sight-reading, rhythm, music theory, and performance skills while fostering confidence, creativity, and artistic interpretation. I aim to create a positive, inspiring, and supportive environment where students feel motivated to learn, express themselves, and achieve their full potential. My mission is to help students grow as musicians, enjoy their learning journey, and develop a lasting passion for piano and music.

My piano teaching approach combines creativity, mentorship, and discipline. I focus on building confident, thoughtful, and responsible musicians.
Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, creative exercises, and exploring multiple music genres. Students learn to connect emotionally with music while developing their own style.
As a mentor, I encourage critical thinking. I explain rhythm, finger technique, scales, chords, and musical expression in clear, simple terms. Students are guided to analyse their playing and improve independently.
Accountability is emphasised through goal setting, practice routines, and regular progress tracking. This helps students develop discipline and stay committed to their learning journey.
Along with piano, I also teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm practice, keyboard basics, and basic composition to support comprehensive musical growth.
