About Samuel
Lessons offered in person and online. Covid 19 measures: Sanitiser will be provided for lessons with the keys being wiped with anti-bacterial wipes before every lesson. Social distancing of 2m in the lesson will be observed between the student and teacher. I am a professional Pianist and tutor with expertise in teaching students to play the piano up to grade 8 (ABRSM, Rock school or Trinity). My knowledge and experience on the piano has been highly regarded as I hold professional qualifications as a Masters Degree graduate with a scholarship in music performance from the University of Birmingham. I have a 100% pass rate for ABRSM grade 1 - 8 examinations with all students achieving the minimum of a merit and the majority passing with a distinction. Teaching Approach I provide piano lessons for all ages from beginners up to grade VIII standard. This may be your first time playing the piano and have always wondered how to approach learning your favourite song. On the other hand you may have already had lots of experience playing and you are seeking expert guidance on how to pass your music exams with high marks. Regardless of your experience, I can take you through a rich and diverse musical programme that is designed to challenge, motivate and improve your piano performance to its highest potential. If you are a beginner who wants to learn to play your own favourite songs for the first time or an advanced student who wants to take exams to progress into music college, you have come to the right place. I have over 5 years of experience of tutoring students from the very beginning elementary stages of learning to play the piano and developing them into highly skilled musicians. The lessons that you will have, adapt to your own style of learning which for some will mean wanting to learn solely by ear but for others, this will be focusing on developing knowledge from the fundamentals of music theory and reading notation.

Samuel is an excellent teacher. He is a knowledgeable, and experienced teacher who knows how to help motivate students. He knows when to encourage and when to be stern.
Sometimes as a student I forget that learning piano takes time, dedication and perseverance. Sam has a wider perspective of piano playing and can put into context the progress that I make, when I can't see it myself.
He also goes above and beyond what is required. He sends me videos of techniques and songs that we have done in our lessons, which helps me massively when I practice.
On a side note he is an excellent player and well worth watching him play.Very reliable, Great tutor with patience.has many methods of learning for beginners and advanced
