About Alba
I am a piano tutor with 5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Musicology, focusing on Piano History. My lessons centre on jazz piano improvisation, comping, and developing a deep harmonic vocabulary. I believe that theory, ear training, and rhythmic precision are keys to authentic jazz expression.
Students work on transcription, chordal analysis, and improvisational exercises to strengthen their creative instincts. I guide learners through comping patterns, solo construction, and advanced harmonic concepts. My approach balances technical skill with expressive freedom.
I have taught Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate students, as well as professional jazz musicians refining their craft. Lessons are tailored to individual goals, whether mastering voicings, substitutions, or spontaneous improvisation. Jazz becomes both an intellectual and emotional experience.
Through steady practice and exploration, students gain confidence in creating music on the spot. I invite you to start your journey into the exciting world of jazz piano and discover your own musical voice.

My teaching blends traditional piano skills with modern music technology to expand your creativity. Lessons cover classical technique, improvisation, and working with digital pianos, synthesisers, and DAWs. I also introduce basic recording so you can capture and layer your music.
Students explore sound design, virtual instruments, and integrating electronics into performance. Each lesson balances technical mastery with musical exploration. I work effectively with The Classical Performer and The Child Prodigy, helping them combine traditional skill with modern tools.
Exercises are tailored to your goals and level. Mistakes are embraced as part of learning. My approach encourages experimentation and musical curiosity.
The aim is to make your piano sound bigger, more dynamic, and versatile. You’ll leave each lesson more confident, creative, and ready to explore new sonic possibilities.
