About Andrea Ballantine
I started playing the piano age 6 and I am now in my mid 50s!
I have taught both privately and in schools. I have 100% pass rate with the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music.
I have organised many concerts and encouraged my pupils to perform.
I consider myself to be patient and I understand that every pupil is different. Many pianists want to simply play for their own enjoyment, others may decide to take Grades. I like to explore different styles and enjoy introducing my pupils to different composers.

I teach over Zoom. I completely understand that every pupil is unique and that we all learn at different tempos! I try to inspire pupils to attempt different styles of music, from Baroque to Jazz, Classical to 21st century composers and 20th century Pop. I include disciplines such as scales and chords and exercises to help with reading, technique and understanding keys and music tonality. My lessons last for 30 minutes.
I am Royal School of Music trained and have been teaching for 25 years.
