About Zoya
With nine years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano, I bring both professional training and real-world performance insight to every lesson. My teaching is rooted in active musical involvement, because students learn best by doing, exploring, and creating. I encourage purposeful playing, where every note carries intention and expression.
My approach focuses on holistic development. Technique, theory, ear training, rhythm, and interpretation are woven naturally into each session. Students do not just play pieces; they understand the structure, history, and artistic context behind them. This builds confident, independent musicians.
Lessons are always personalized. I adapt materials, repertoire, and exercises to match each learner’s goals, whether they are preparing for exams, performances, auditions, or personal growth. From beginners discovering their first melodies to professional musicians refining advanced jazz harmony and improvisation, I provide structured yet inspiring guidance. Creativity is never separated from discipline.

My piano lessons are designed for both children and adults who want strong foundations and lasting musical growth. I focus on building healthy technique, relaxed posture, finger strength, and expressive control from the very beginning. Good habits create confident musicians.
To keep practice consistent and enjoyable, I use structured routines that are clear, achievable, and motivating. We break big goals into small wins. Progress feels exciting, not overwhelming.
For younger learners, I include interactive music games, rhythm challenges, and creative listening activities. For adults, I blend practical exercises with pieces they genuinely love. I use backing tracks to develop timing, groove, and performance confidence. Lessons combine classical repertoire with popular styles to keep learning dynamic and inspiring.
I also support students who use music as a form of personal expression and emotional release. Through improvisation, jazz harmony exploration, and mindful playing, I help them grow musically while strengthening focus and confidence. Every student is guided to excel at their own pace. My goal is simple: build skill, spark passion, and make the piano a lifelong companion.
