About Riya
I am a piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, and I also work as a composer and performer. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies, which has shaped my understanding of music both technically and creatively. I see music as a lifelong journey, and I aim to share that passion with every student I teach. I work with both beginners and advanced musicians, tailoring lessons to each individual’s needs and goals. My teaching covers technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and performance skills. I encourage students to explore different styles and genres, helping them become versatile and expressive pianists. As a composer and performer, I bring real-world experience into my lessons, showing students how to connect creativity with skill. I emphasize musical expression and personal growth, fostering confidence and independence at the keyboard. Students learn to approach challenges with patience while celebrating their progress along the way. Every lesson balances structured guidance with room for exploration and experimentation.
