About Ivy
My teaching methodology is built on Accountability, Integrity, Flexibility, and Collaboration to help students achieve their musical goals. I encourage students to set clear objectives and take responsibility for their learning, ensuring steady progress in both performance and theory. With integrity, I provide honest feedback and create a trustworthy learning environment where students feel safe to explore, experiment, and grow.
I adapt each lesson to fit the student’s learning style, pace, and interests. Whether it’s improving technique, learning new compositions, exploring different genres, or preparing for exams, I make sure that lessons remain engaging, personalized, and effective. This allows students to learn at their own comfort level while gradually building confidence and skill.
I work closely with students, involving them in goal-setting, problem-solving, and creative exploration. This shared effort fosters deeper understanding and strengthens musical expression. Beyond Piano, I apply the same approach to other relevant subjects, ensuring that students develop discipline, creativity, and a lifelong passion for learning.

I am a passionate piano tutor with 8 years of experience teaching high school and college students. Over the years, I have taught 300-350 students, helping each one discover their unique musical voice. My lessons focus on developing strong foundations in both performance and music theory while encouraging creativity, expression, and a love for music that lasts a lifetime.
Many have confidently performed in recitals, excelled in competitions, and successfully prepared for exams. Each success story inspires me to continuously improve my teaching methods and find new ways to make learning engaging, effective, and enjoyable.
I believe in creating a supportive, motivating environment where students feel empowered to grow not only as musicians but as confident individuals. Whether it’s refining technique, exploring different musical genres, or tackling challenging compositions, I tailor each lesson to meet the student’s goals. My ultimate aim is to inspire a lifelong passion for music and help students reach their full potential.
