About Greg
I’m a veteran freelance Project Manager and Delivery Consultant with 30 years’ experience executing high-stakes infrastructure, cloud, and digital transformations for global blue-chips and technology suppliers — including Dell, HP, IBM, and blue-chip end clients across Banking, Finance, Utilities, Media and Government sectors. Having qualified as a PMP in 2006, my career spans more than 20 major freelance assignments across the UK, Nordics, Middle East, and Ireland.
My career began hands-on as a programmer, DBA, and systems specialist. Because I understand the core principles of IT architecture first-hand, I’m now entirely techno-agnostic. When modern projects introduce new buzzwords, I can cut through the hype, map the new tech back to my core experience, and identify what needs to be done, what needs to be said. I mentor up-and-coming PMs how to confidently question technical teams, retain design authority, and manage high profile technical projects without getting lost in the jargon.
I don't teach theoretical frameworks. I offer real-world, situational mentorship for ambitious PMs who want to learn how to actively lead a project, rescue failing circumstances, or launch their own freelance careers.
After 30 years in high-profile project delivery at the highest level as both supplier and end-client, the opportunity to give something back to the Project Management community is very appealing. It's personally rewarding to engage with up-and-coming project managers and help them build resilient, practical execution strategies through situational coaching.

I don't offer formal lessons as such, I provide situational mentorship for working professionals and up-and-coming project managers..
Bring me your current anonymised project roadblocks — scope creep, critical bottlenecks, or stakeholder warfare. Whatever the issue, I'll work with you to understand "where we are now, where we need to get to and how to move forward".

Project Profiling Framework
Over the years I've developed my own 'Project Profiling Framework' — the basis for defining, planning and executing any project, and subsequently troubleshooting project issues impacting delivery.
Plain Talk
I discuss projects in plain English. I leave the jargon in the textbooks so that everyone understands what we're trying to achieve.
Holding the Ground
However we decide to "move forward" it's important that you as PM, return to your project with the confidence to question technical teams, manage vendors, and command a room without feeling the need to be an expert in any specific field.
