About Otis
I am Otis Hunter Jr. I have been a poet and performed on hundreds of stages since April 10, 2016. I have won many competitions from my writing and performing alone such as slams and talent shows. I received a Bachelor's in Creative Writing in 2022.

In an hour lesson, we will delve into an original poem tutees create or create a poem from scratch and make it a work of art. I teach based on the elements of spoken word, a strategy that derived from a slam expert who is also my mentor. All poems derive from four styles: Fire (musical communication), water (emotional, performative communication), earth (direct communication), and air (sensory/symbolic communication). All great poems have these elements but we will see which ones are needed to make your piece stronger. I have a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing and have a decade of stage experience so I will have your pieces prepared for the page and the stage.
