About Shanae
Hi, I'm a student at the University of Pennsylvania, double majoring in Political Science and Economics. As a FGLI student, it's important to me to help students who are disadvantaged, whether financially or academically, to inspire them to achieve the goals they set out for themselves. I like anime, indie music and boba! I'm easy to get to know and I love to meet new people; I'm very open to helping anybody in any situation!

Hi! I plan on tutoring high school English: Language, Literature and Comprehension. My lessons are tailored to the students' preferences and learning styles (visual learning, hands-on learning etc). Our first session is getting to know each other, areas where the student may be struggling, areas they are confident in, and their best method of learning. After our first meeting I synthesize this information into crafting fun, and engaging lessons to tackle necessary topics in English. As a freshman in college, I was in the same position just a bit ago; I feel this adds to my relatability to the tutees, helping us mesh well and learn more during our tutoring sessions! I'm excited to start!
