About Jakob
I am currently a political science and philosophy student in my second year at Southern Utah University, specializing in international politics. Due to the extensive research I have done and the thousands of hours or time I have put towards my studies, I feel that I could put my skills and knowledge to good use by tutoring those who struggle with history and government, or just need a little extra help!

I believe that making real world connections is the most effective way to learn. Government and politics is an interesting subject because it affects all of us in our daily lives. Using relatable, real world examples gives the student the opportunity to not only understand the application of the learning material, but it makes it relatable to them. By making learning a personal experience, students tend to be more engaged and more open to learning. This is my philosophy on how to teach these topics most effectively.
