About Valeria
Hello! My name is Valeria and I currently work for an international charity. I completed my university studies in politics in 2019 and have since gone on to work in policy, public affairs and campaigning. When I was at school, I was grateful for the support of my tutor who was by my side when the countdown to the final exams began. Now, I would like to give back to students who are going through the same things as I did a few years ago and support them through their academic journeys. I would like lessons to be collaborative - I don't want to be the only one talking! Technical subjects such as history are not always straightforward to pick up and revision almost always involves memorising a large amount of facts and figures. I would like our first lesson to be explorative - understanding what you want to get the most out of tutoring and then we can develop a plan that will help you succeed.

1. Completed the International Baccalaureate History higher level programme, obtaining the equivalent of an A. 2. Analysing real world problems and case studies applicable to your school curriculum. 3. Visuals! If you're a visual learner like me and appreciate the use of graphs, photos, videos, then do reach out to me. 4. Test/exam practice - we'll look at past papers together and outline best approaches to tackling questions. I have previous experience tutoring A Level/IB History and Geography students and hold two university degrees in politics. My lessons would ideally suit a student who is in the process of completing A Levels or the IB. This would be where I can best support them to prepare for upcoming exams and unpack their curriculum.
