From my experience, learning and education is most successful when classes are student-orientated and engaging! Student-orientated - The first chat is all about you. We'll discuss what you enjoy (and what you don't), any challenges you're experiencing, as well as expectations and any goals you may wish to accomplish.
I teach students from GCSE through to a postgraduate level. As an engaging and easy-going person, I find it easy to build rapport, so don't worry, there won't be any awkward silences! Every student is different and people learn in different ways. A typical lesson will be no longer than an hour and I'll produce bespoke lesson plans for each student, accommodating your learning preferences and styles. This will include everything from facts and figures, to essay structures and source analysis!
For those approaching exam season, we will cover past papers, exam techniques and timings and exam board specifications to develop an all-encompassing understanding of the topics at hand.
Finally, engagement is everything! If you're enjoying what you're learning, remembering information becomes so much easier! I aim to make classes enjoyable and fun, covering any concerns you'd like addressed. Politics and History are complicated topics, more so now than ever before. I have studied History and Politics from GCSE through to Postgraduate level and I am an award-winning Postgraduate in International Politics and therefore uniquely positioned to help you succeed and set you on the path for further success!

Perfect! Harry is a brilliant tutor who taught my son both Government & Politics and History. He quickly figured out how my son learnt best and adjusted his approach to fit. His relaxed and friendly manner made lessons both enjoyable and effective. Perfect! Harry is a brilliant tutor. He worked so well with my daughter, identifying her strengths and weaknesses and assisting accordingly. He was very flexible regarding finding a time to fit into her schedule and was always reliable. He was most definitely pro active and beneficial to my daughter’s a-level studies and absolutely assisted in her gaining the results she needed for university. 5 stars, totally recommend!
