I will show you very clear and highly effective strategies in which to optimise your abilities in learning the language.
WRITING- learn how to organize your writing logically into paragraphs and avoid making grammar, punctuation and spelling mistakes.
SPEAKING- improve your pronunciation and fluency. If necessary, make your accent less intrusive. I can record you so that we can listen back and analyse your speaking.
READING- use scanning and skimming skills to help to make sense of the text.
LISTENING- learn how to pick out the relevant points of the listening.
- Portuguese for Business: My teaching method is based on a communicative approach, focusing on achieving fluency, improving reading and listening comprehension, and expanding vocabulary. I teach the use of Portuguese in a variety of business environments, based on key skills like presenting information, taking part in meetings and videoconferences, handling telephone calls, negotiating and writing concise business letters, e-mails or reports.
- Conversation lessons: I teach how to use Portuguese in everyday situations, like introducing yourself to someone; giving personal information; going to a restaurant; asking directions; making a reservation in a hotel; using public transport, etc.
- Skype lessons: a very useful way to save time and to focus on speaking and writing.
My approach is student-centred.
• One-to-one lessons: I organise the lessons for the needs of the individual - tell me what you are looking for and we can work together.
