About Emily
I'm a qualified and experienced Portuguese language teacher with a degree in Portuguese Language and Literature and a native Portuguese speaker. I have been successfully helping students from around the world at every level, from beginner to advanced. I teach General and Business Portuguese.
My lessons are completely customised to your individual needs. My aim is to bring you up to the highest level of Portuguese in the shortest possible time to improve your social life, career prospects or academic goals that you may want to achieve. Depending on your strengths and weaknesses I focus certain aspects of Portuguese such as conversation, pronunciation, grammar or writing. Everyone has different goals. This may be increasing social confidence or even preparing for a job interview.
My students tell me that I am friendly, helpful, hard-working and flexible. I have taught students from all over the world, helping them to integrate into the Brazilian and Portuguese culture, both socially and professionally. I offer short term (intensive) and long term one-to-one courses.
HOW THE LESSONS WORK
We begin with an initial free Skype assessment; the objective being to discover where you are in terms of your Portuguese, and where you want to be by the end of the course.
