About Fernanda
I am a Brazilian student currently undertaking her Masters at ANU. In Brazil, I did my Bachelors in Law (2012-2016), but decided to give my carreer a different direction by coming to Australia to pursue a Master of Diplomacy.
I have some years of experience teaching English in Brazil. I absolutely love teaching, so you can expect a passionate and creative tutor from me. While I am not strict about methodology, I am very disciplined and organised. My classes are not boring, I promise! I try to bring new and exciting activities each class.
In addition to Portuguese, I am fluent in English, French and Spanish and I am currently learning Indonesian, so I still live the frustrations (and the joys!) of studying a foreign language. I can definitely sympathise with my students as they brave the complex Portuguese grammar.

I have quite a few years of experience, but I don't follow a strict method. I generally adapt the lessons to each student's needs
I teach grammar and vocabulary and all that is included in a regular Portuguese as a second language curriculum (if you don't have a teaching material of your preference, I am prepared to provide materials). Alternatively, classes can focus on academic and general writing skills for those interested in improving their Portuguese writing and reading abilities.
If all you need is someone to speak Portuguese to, I can also help you with pronunciation and accent training, as well as fluency and overall confidence in my mother language.
