About Cristina
I have been a teacher since November 2008, teaching English as a Second Language and Portuguese to students taking GCSE and A Level Portuguese at a Secondary School in North London. While teaching EAL there were a mixed of abilities and I had to make sure that all of them would be ready to follow normal lessons efficiently. Most of the students were back in their lessons within 3 months of arriving in my class. As a Portuguese tutor at the same school I taught Portuguese speakers that struggled with grammar and the structure of the language preparing them to take their GCSE and A Level Portuguese exams with 100% getting grades C and above.

I am a calm and friendly teacher. Students learn more efficiently when they are happy. I have a Bachelor degree in Linguistics from University Federal de Ouro Pesto -MG. As an EAL teacher in London I was always known as a strict teacher that cares for the students. I had students from all around Europe arriving at our school without any English and they were put in an intensive course with me before fully joining in normal lessons and within 3 months they were ready to catch up with the other students. It's all about working hard while happily working.
