About Chloe
I graduated from Whitman College with a degree in English literature and French language and literatures in 2022, after which I moved to France for a year and taught English to 1st through 5th graders. I am currently an assistant teacher in a PreK class at L'Étoile French Immersion School, and I am also getting my masters in teaching. When I first started taking French classes in middle school, I had no idea that I would develop such a passion and love for the language. It is really through the human connection aspect of language learning that I have fallen in love with French--through my high school French exchange students, through the wonderful people and students I met while living abroad, and through experiencing the beautiful culture--that fostered my love and passion for not only the language itself, but for teaching it. I hope to inspire and nurture this love and appreciation in my students!

I teach fun, interactive, and dynamic French lessons to all ages, although I have the most experience working with elementary schoolers (I currently teach PreK at a French immersion school). In my lessons, I try to speak French for the majority of the time, and love to incorporate singing and hands-on activities as a means of keeping my students excited and engaged.
