About Joseph
I have worked in education for over 10 years now. Originally trained as a primary school teacher I now work with many children of all ages as a tutor or a mentor or both.
I have worked with children and families from all over the world for a number of reasons:
Lack of confidence
Low self-esteem
Poor relationships with teachers/parents/learning
Reluctant learners
7+,11+, 13+ School entrance exams
Emotional/behavioural Difficulties
SEN - ADHD, Autism, Selective Mutism, Down syndrome and more
I cover subjects:
English - Reception to year 9
Maths - Reception to year 9
Psychology - GCSE/A-Level
Sociology - GCSE/A-Level
As a lover of children’s books, especially picture books and a published author I am particularly interested in creative writing.

I am a positive, enthusiastic and easy going individual with a passion for teaching and working with children. I have taught in the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in a range of inner London schools.
I am a qualified play therapist and work therapeutically with children across London as well as being a private tutor. I believe that children learn most effectively in a comfortable, supportive and creative environment where both educational and emotional needs can be met.
As a PGCE graduate and qualified Play Therapist this is the environment I aim to create for my lessons.
I have worked in Schools for 4 years and as a private tutor for the past 5 years
