About Snigdha
I'm a post graduate in English literature (M.A. English) from University of Delhi. I also hold a B. Ed. degree from GGSIPU. I'm a passionate and hardworking English teacher with 3 years of teaching experience with classes 6th-12th. I have received training from British Council for shaping up the communication skills of students.
I aim to work equally on enhancing each of the language skills of a student, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing, along with guiding them in tackling the prescribed school syllabus.
I focus on teaching through daily life examples rather than using rote learning.
I encourage students to ask as many questions as possible to enhance their subject understanding and for keeping the class alive!

I approach any topic through relevant examples so that a child is able to understand its usage in his or her daily life. I move from simple to complex level while teaching any topic. I focus on all the four language skills equally, which are- Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
I encourage students to ask many questions so as to clear their doubts at an initial level itself. I motivate them to practice as much as possible.
Instead of simply translating any text into the mother tongue of the student, I prefer to explain any text by using simpler synonyms or vocabulary without changing the language. I believe it is extremely vital for the students to be able to think directly in the target language, which is English, rather than using translation method.
