About Ashleigh
I have studied English at A-level standard, studied literature at university (UCT), and have tutored in English/reading/essay writing/poetry/literature for many years. I love english writing and teaching poetry, and can help correct and guide pupils with assignments and essays as well! I like to do a lot of prep work and do give homework to my students, but only so the learning really sinks in and we have material to discuss and debate together

I like to approach English classes by engaging with pupils and seeing the texts/ poems from their perspective before we unpack deeper meanings and themes together. I do not like to say anything is wrong outright, but rather have us discuss it together to see a better explanation or rational for our thoughts.
