About Matthew
I have an undergraduate degree in Writing and Publishing, and consistently gained First Class Honours in Poetry and Novel forms. I have a widespread interest in a variety of literature, but am especially keen in Asiatic Poetry, the British Folktale and Historical Fiction.

I like to teach poetry and prose by first challenging a student to really unpack their understanding of what makes a good poem, and then gently provide them relevant literature and writing prompts to start their own work. I then help them revise this work so that it is as close to a professional piece as possible.

I am more than happy to charge this rate to proofread works outside of the tutorial setting, too, should a client be more interested in my editorial services.
