About Shruu
Hi, I’m Shruthi (You can call me Shruu). I’m a postgraduate student in Design Innovation and a public speaker with over four years of experience in communication, presentation, and content creation. I have always been passionate about how ideas are expressed and how the right words, structure, and confidence can completely change the way someone communicates.
Through my journey as a public speaker, I have worked extensively on writing scripts, presenting to different audiences, and improving clarity and confidence in communication. This experience has helped me develop a strong understanding of spoken and written English, along with the ability to explain things in a simple and approachable way. I enjoy helping others become more confident in expressing themselves, whether it is through speaking, reading, writing, or preparing a strong CV.
As a postgraduate student in Design Innovation, I work closely with storytelling, problem-solving, and structured thinking. This has strengthened my ability to guide students in organizing their thoughts clearly and communicating them effectively. I believe learning should feel encouraging and practical rather than stressful, and I always aim to create a comfortable space where students feel confident to ask questions and improve at their own pace.

My approach to tutoring is simple, practical, and student-focused. I do not follow a rigid teaching style or depend heavily on textbooks. Instead, I first try to understand the student, their comfort level with English, and what they actually want to improve. This could be speaking with confidence, improving reading and spelling, or learning how to write clearly and effectively.
Coming from a public speaking background, I naturally focus on clarity, structure, and confidence in communication. I teach using real-life examples, conversations, and simple exercises so that learning feels natural and not overwhelming. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged, and free to make mistakes.
A typical lesson usually lasts between forty-five minutes to one hour, depending on the student’s preference and learning pace. Sessions are interactive and flexible, with time for discussion, practice, and feedback.
Although I do not come from a traditional teaching background, I have over four years of experience in public speaking, script writing, and communication. As a postgraduate student in Design Innovation, I work closely with content creation, storytelling, and structured thinking, which helps me guide students in improving their English and communication skills effectively.
My lessons are suitable for school and college students, beginners or intermediate English learners, and anyone looking to improve their speaking, reading, spelling, or CV writing skills. My goal is to create a supportive and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident to learn and grow at their own pace.
