About Thomas
I am currently studying for a Masters in Performance at the Royal College of Music, having graduated from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with a first-class honours. I have over 10 years of performance experience, ranging from solo recitals and concertos, to playing in a variety of chamber groups and orchestras. Alongside my education, I have gained experience going into schools with my chamber groups, planning group workshops and performances, learning to be flexible to everyone's needs to make the experience as enjoyable as possible.

I believe that everyone's method of learning is entirely unique, and I aim to tailor each lesson to each student. I want to make the experience of learning the clarinet and saxophone an enjoyable experience, and introduce the student to fun and unique exercises to improve their technique, through pieces that they enjoy playing - I think you should never learn a piece that you don't like!
I will always encourage the student to explore music away from lessons and discover what inspires them. I will take a practical role in suggesting pieces and recordings that I think the student will take a particular liking to, and discuss these with them in their lessons - There is much more to music than simply playing your instrument!
