About Josef
I am a History MRes student at the Institute of Historical Research, University of London, who also holds a BA in History & Politics. I have taught students aged 11 to 16 in Europe and China, helping prepare them for English proficiency examinations. I also have experience in academic support, where I have assisted students at Goldsmiths, University of London prepare for essays, seminar presentations and planning their dissertation. Additionally, I worked on the English language editions of three internationally published historical texts (The History of Funchal, The Levadas of Madeira and The Pocket History of Poland).

As a tutor I seek to support and supplement existing teaching by providing interventions uniquely catered to progress the individual’s learning. I strive to provide an environment in which students learn through enquiry and challenge, and are encouraged to become independent learners. This learning process will exist within the framework of the curriculum and will always be in the pursuit of key learning objectives and meeting exam criteria. I am familiar with the current national curriculum from GCSE level and above, and can provide a platform that will allow students to build towards university admission and graduation.
