About Ismael
Hey guys and girls,
My name is Ismael, but you can call me Fish! It is a nickname I have had since I was about 8 years old. I am now 24 years old, a husband and a father to a beautiful little girl. I graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in mathematics.
Throughout my time at Oregon State University I was able to tutor students in mathematics, physics, and engineering for two different programs. Within these programs I would tackle about six students every term, ranging from several different math, physics, and engineering courses. I was awarded "Best Tutor of the Term" on four different occasions within both programs. I also never had one of my students come back and tell me they failed their current course. (Perfect record)

The teaching methods and techniques I used during my four years of tutoring at Oregon State University are:
1. Going into more depth with the current topic that their
teacher has been going through.
2. Provide example problems so the student can practice
what they were taught.
3. Let them attempt the problems on their own and after a
few minutes give them direction, as needed.
4. At the end of the session I would also summarize
everything that was taught.
What sets me apart from most tutors is that I love to teach those who are eager to learn! It is one of my biggest pleasures in life. I love to see people go from not understanding something to fully grasping that same concept. I am also young and am able to connect with almost all ages of life, which makes it easier when you are trying to teach a certain subject.
My tutoring services can be for any level of education, with the exception of master degree or PhD students. I can tutor in any level of mathematics up to master degree level math. I can also tutor most sciences, except chemistry.
