About Sandra
Pacing is often the hardest part of the exam. I admit that I struggled with timing until I mapped out the exact logic of the science sections.
These sessions provide students with free access to my reaction-mechanism notes. Pre-med and biochemistry students benefit from this rigorous, exam-fresh approach to complex synthesis. My background as an MD/PhD candidate means I know exactly which topics the AAMC tests hardest. We spend time breaking down the most difficult concepts to build high-level fluency.
You will navigate through difficult problems using the same methods I use at UPenn. My preparation materials ensure that you are ready for the intensity of the real test. Success requires deep preparation.

Chemistry clicked for me during my early undergraduate research when I realized that intuition is better than memorization. I am currently an MD/PhD candidate at the Perelman School of Medicine at UPenn.
My tutoring focuses on organic chemistry mechanisms and molecular biology for pre-med and MCAT prep. I build fluency in aromatic chemistry, amines, and isomerism. Students also work with me on carbonyl chemistry, IUPAC nomenclature, and retrosynthesis. We tackle resonance and acidity to ensure complete clarity.
Mastering these concepts is vital for high-stakes testing. My teaching style draws directly from the AAMC test patterns I see daily. I find it satisfying to watch students map out complex pathways with ease.
