You've got this! Every student can succeed in any subject with the right resources and approach! I also think that our current school system and curriculum are known only to provide one kind of learning; needing extra support on various subjects is normal and to be expected throughout your academic journey! Let's build a deeper understanding and set manageable and attainable goals together! Taking extra time out of your week to prioritize your future success is incredibly brave and shows that you are willing to invest in your education and future! - I've completed two years of PSEO (post-secondary employment outcomes). This means I had dual enrollment full-time at a university while still enrolled in high school, which allowed me to complete two years of college credits by the time I graduated High School! While this isn't for everyone, I highly recommend this path if you plan to go to college. I am currently a freshman in college, majoring in biomedical science and minoring in psychology! I love supporting others academically, and seeing that growth is so rewarding!

- I teach elementary and middle school students who need support with English, reading, writing, proofreading, in-text commentary, and beginners (levels 1 and 2) French.
-I aim to focus on direct one-on-one teaching, not just discussing the topics at hand but formulating a better understanding for future success. Learning is very developmental, so sometimes you need a little extra support!
-I love using the growth mindset, TBL (task-based learning), and TTT (testing, teaching, testing) learning methods. Each lesson plan is individualized based on the student's academic struggles and current understanding of the subject.
-For all lesson plans, we set short and long-term goals. The best motivation can sometimes be found in the little successes; attainable goals are essential. I also consider possible requirements for school assignments/materials and how to gain a deeper understanding while achieving school expectations (if applicable to students).
-I find that being able to help others after overcoming my academic challenges as an adolescent to be incredibly resourceful. You better understand where someone's struggles can come from, have more patience, and help find out-of-the-box solutions when the mandated teachings in school aren't cutting it.
