About Thomas
Hey, I'm Thomas! I'm a pre-med junior at the University of Notre Dame. Outside of class I work as a certified EMT responding to 911 calls, and I do research in a cardiology lab at Duke University. I actually use the science I teach every day, which I think makes a real difference when explaining it.
I've taken Biology, Organic Chemistry, Calculus, and Statistics at Notre Dame, so I know exactly how challenging these subjects can be. I've also volunteered as a tutor before, so I have real experience working with students who are struggling and helping them get unstuck.
I grew up in Chapel Hill, speak great Spanish, and have studied abroad in Madrid. I played varsity soccer, lacrosse, and track in high school and now compete in the club boxing team at Notre Dame.
If you're stuck on a concept or just need someone to break things down in a way that actually makes sense, I'm your guy. I keep sessions relaxed, focused, and productive.

I'm a pre-med sophomore at Notre Dame, a certified EMT, and I've done research in a biomedical lab at Duke. I actually use this stuff outside the classroom, which makes a big difference in how I explain it.
My teaching style is straightforward — I figure out exactly where you're stuck, then we work from there. I focus on building real understanding because in science, memorizing without understanding will eventually catch up with you.
I work best with middle school through college-level students in Biology, Chemistry, and Math. Especially good for AP Bio, AP Chem, and pre-med coursework.
If you've been grinding through material and it's still not clicking, that's exactly the kind of student I work well with. I've been there, and I know how to get you unstuck.
