About Billie
"Completing a PhD in Organic Chemistry at MIT and working through my final year of medical school provides me a unique vantage point on biology. I have successfully mentored 71 students through the rigors of pre-medical science requirements over the last 4 years.
My work focuses on molecular biology, plant biology, homeostasis, and DNA and RNA structure. I also cover photosynthesis, respiration, exam technique, cell biology, and biological drawing. It is surprisingly rewarding to see these intricate systems finally click for a student."

"Visualizing cellular structures remains the most effective way to grasp the life sciences. I often recall drawing complex pathways on a whiteboard during my own medical training to solidify my knowledge of homeostasis. My lessons integrate this visual clarity by providing free access to my labeled diagram notes. Given my 4 years of experience, I know exactly where pre-med students struggle when preparing for competitive exams.
I lean heavily on my MIT training to explain high-level concepts like photosynthesis and respiration through relatable, clear examples. I enjoy seeing the relief on your face when these difficult biological processes suddenly make perfect sense."
