About Jesse
I have frequently worked with children who were younger than me, whether as a tutor or a camp counselor, and I have always felt strongly about working with children. I want the learner to feel in control of their education and maybe develop a passion for it. With students, I aim to instill self-assurance and foster relationships that help them feel successful and at ease. I have always believed that a student's academic and social performance is greatly influenced by the right person or instructor. In the same manner that my former instructors motivated me in the past, I hope to be able to inspire kids.

Over the past school year I have worked with underprivilged middle school students in New Orleans, Louisiana and helped them in various subjects, specifically mathematics. I am detail oriented and able to adjust to different learning styles, in order to help the student feel the most supporitive. I am able to work one on one with students either online or in person, and have a flexible schedule as well. As a tutor, I will make the student feel comfortable asking questions as well as changing the approach of learning when they dont feel it being successful. I will provide the students I tutor with worksheets to practice the content learned when they go home, as well as clear and consice information during the lesson.
