About Alan
I worked in various office jobs for 15 years before I became an IT trainer. However, in every one of these roles I was always helping others learn the ropes, or showing others better ways to do things. These things always seemed second nature to me but eventually I realised this wasn't the case for everyone. That led me into IT training, with a focus around Excel and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Having taught students of varying abilities I understand that the lesson should be paced by the student, not the teacher. I'm calm and won't rush you, allowing you to learn and not feel overwhelmed.
Typically I would not recommend sessions longer than 45 minutes to an hour.
I prefer to teach via demonstration first and then interactive work throughs to follow up.
