About Nicholas
As someone who has struggled with learning difficulties of ADD, and dyslexia, I intimately know and understand the integral importance of meeting students' unique individual academic and social-emotional needs with patience, grace, and equity, as it was done for me. I was able to overcome my learning difficulties during my time in elementary school, because of my tutor Janet, who assiduously fostered my specific pedagogic and social-emotional needs with patience, grace, and equity in reading, writing, and other subjects. Janet holds a special place in my life, and I seek to continue her legacy. I have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, as modeled by the interpersonal skills I employed, working effectively with teachers, faculty, students, and parents at Fairview K-8 in the volunteer Primary English Tutor position with Reading Partners, Colorado. There, I was able to facilitate student achievement, molded by the students’ unique learning styles and social-emotional needs. I am a passionate learner and instructor who holds a considerable knowledge of various literature, drama, philosophy, art, and games. I believe I know how to make reading, writing, and learning English and other subjects fun and engaging for all students, in accordance with their interests.

As a graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in English, I bring both academic expertise and practical experience to every lesson. I’ve worked extensively with students in primary English education, providing one-on-one and small group tutoring that focuses on building confidence and mastery in reading, writing, and comprehension.
English is the foundation of communication, critical thinking, and self-expression. Strong English skills empower students to succeed across all subjects, excel in standardized tests, and prepare for future academic and professional opportunities. From understanding literature to crafting persuasive essays, English education develops analytical thinking and creativity—skills that last a lifetime.
