About Meagan
Whether it is a lesson on phonics for young children or classic literature analysis for high school, my goal is to keep lessons engaging and relevant to the student. I come very prepared and prepare many resources to enhance learning. My tutoring lessons are a judgement free zone.
As a teacher, I have learned that adaptability is key to the success of your students. That being said I am always happy and willing to make the changes needed to my lessons in order to better suit the student.

You can expect an organized schedule for each lesson with accompanying resources. Depending on the situation and age of the student I will also try to send additional resources to assist them outside of tutoring hours.
I also like to keep my lessons consistent in terms of material and work, but I enjoy switching up the mediums I use to teach (videos, powerpoint, google slides, etc.)
I have experience teaching students ages 5-18 given my education degree and english degree. Regarding my english degree I can teach almost anything under the umbrella of english and literacy (phonemic awareness, reading/decoding, poetry, English literature, essay writing, creative writing, research, APA, MLA, Chicago citation method, etc.)
