About Justine
I am a sophomore at Princeton University studying Chemical and Biological Engineering on the Pre-Med track. I graduated from Ridgefield High School with a weighted GPA of 4.3 with honors.
I have previous experience tutoring elementary and middle-school aged students through the National Honor Society. Through this organization, I volunteered my time in online tutoring sessions for 6-8 grade students in Math on a weekly basis throughout my senior year in High School. I am open to tutoring in a variety of subjects (Math, English, Biology, Chemistry, Art) but find that I particularly enjoy helping students with math as well as aiding in the college application/preparation process.

My main goal as a tutor and teaching strategy is to help students understand the foundational components of the skill they are trying to learn. After building a solid foundation, I then challenge my students with practice problems of progressing difficulty in order to ensure they have the skills to take on any problem they encounter. I adjust the specific content of my sessions on a case-by-case basis, but have previously spent time explaining challenging concepts, reviewing test results, and working through homework problems.
I place incredible value in the fact that learning is non-linear. I help guide my students through difficult concepts, work with them on challenging homework assignments, and support them through upsetting test results. I truly believe that all students have the capacity to succeed at school when provided with the right environment that caters to their specific learning style.
I am happy to work with both the student and parent in recurring or one-time sessions to help with schoolwork, studying, conceptual understanding, and any other help that is needed. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
