About Adam
Once a physicist, always a physicist! Graduated with a B.Sc. in Theoretical Physics (First Class Honors from UCD) and have just finished my PhD in Machine Learning applied to environmental systems. I've published research in top journals showing how computational methods can help us understand complex natural phenomena - from atmospheric dynamics to ecosystem processes. What I love most about this work is finding ways to make complicated concepts click for students at all levels. Over the years, I've taught everything from one-on-one undergraduate and Leaving Cert math tutoring to designing and delivering full university courses as an Assistant Professor at DCU. I really enjoy breaking down complex topics in an engaging way that helps you get a clear understanding.

Having worked with many students over my 13 years as a private tutor my primary aim is to first understand how you process information and learn, then tailor our lessons around your sticking points within your subject.
Leaving Certificate and university undergraduate level are my specialisation but I am also available for Junior Certificate lessons where needed.
Often students are more than capable but the material has been presented in a way that is not suited for their way of understanding. My aim is to not only enable you to feel comfortable with the subject material but to feel confident in tackling new questions independently as quickly as possible. The faster you get to the point that you don't need my lessons, the better I've done my job!
Lesson are available for 1 or 2 hour blocks with a discounted rate for longer sessions.
