About William
My name is William Yoo, and I am someone who grew up going to tutoring almost everyday of the week since I was 8 years old. What I learnt in that time is that a lot of tutors don’t take the time to try to understand what students need, or to even get to know the students so that they can feel comfortable within the tutoring environment.
I burned out at a young age because I was struggling within the environment, and I don’t want that to be the case for the students I teach. My aim is not only for you to progress and gain confidence in your abilities, but also to create a comfortable environment for you so that you can feel that you want to learn from me.

Typically my lessons go from 1-1.5hrs, I aim to understand what students need rather than just forcing random lessons on them that aren’t valuable towards their growth.
My belief when it comes to writing is that it is not taught efficiently within schools, and students have to almost figure it out on their own, as such I work very hard to ensure that students are able to understand HOW to write, and WHY we write in certain ways. This way students don’t need to resort to only memorising their essays, and not being able to adapt under different stimuli and circumstances.
With my OC and Selective Students we spend time focusing on understanding what our weaknesses are, and then breaking them down one by one until we have a strong and solid foundation from which we can build our abilities.
I have nearly a decade of experience with tutoring, and have taught more than 100 students, the students extend all the any from Kindergarten, to Selective School Test, and to HSC English.
My lessons are for students of all age groups and levels, whether you’re someone trying to learn how to write, wants to do well on their OC or Selective tests, or even to just improve in overall academics, I can be that tutor.
