About Naeema
My name is Naeema and I am from Durban, South Africa.
I hold several qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Education degree
- An Accounting Diploma
- A Maths teacher's certificate
- A Level 5 TEFL certificate (Ofqual UK, equivalent to CELTA)
- An IELTS certificate
As a teacher, I specialize in both General and Business English. Being a native English speaker, I've grown up surrounded by different languages, which has given me a neutral accent that's easy to understand. My primary goal is to help you enhance your English skills, including speaking, fluency, pronunciation, comprehension, and reading. With over four years of teaching experience—both offline and online—I've worked with diverse age groups and backgrounds. Most of my students are business professionals or individuals from various parts of the world.
Beyond teaching, my interests include staying informed with the news, exploring Sufism, learning about different cultures, discovering cooking hacks, and appreciating gemstones.
I have four years of experience teaching English, Business English, Math, and Islamic studies. Additionally, I’ve worked as an accountant for four years.

My teaching style is adaptable, focusing on learners’ goals. I use various methods, including the Total Physical Response (TPR) method, discussions, flipped classrooms, and a learner-centered approach. I tailor my teaching techniques to each student’s level and needs.
My specialisation lies in teaching Business English to adults. I draw from my hybrid skills, combining knowledge from both the business and education sectors to create effective lessons. My primary aim is to help students achieve their learning goals.
