About Michael
My love for acting was evident from a young age; my mum has footage of me as a toddler putting on concerts and puppet shows on the sofa. Growing up, I was heavily influenced by Doctor Who, spending much of my childhood pretending to be the Doctor. It was through all of this that I realised my passion for acting. I pursued this passion academically, starting with a foundation course at East 15 Acting School before completing a three-year training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. My training there was comprehensive, covering Stanislavski, Meisner, Michael Chekhov, and Jacques Lecoq techniques, with a particular emphasis on the physicality of the body informing the psychology. This approach helps actors avoid relying on harmful emotional memory to achieve emotions, promoting a healthier and more sustainable acting practice.
Since graduating, I've completed 14 months in Stranger Things in the West End, and made my screen debut in the Netflix film My Oxford Year. Alongside my professional work, I teach acting and audition technique at East 15 Acting School and recently directed a public production there, allowing me to support actors not only in their training but also in performance.
These experiences - as a working actor, director, and teacher - continually deepen my understanding of the craft. I bring this real-world knowledge into my teaching, offering students real insight into the industry. I’ve also had the privilege of assisting recall panels at The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, giving me insider knowledge on what they're looking for. Combined with my professional experience, and my representation by a top London acting agency, this allows me to offer informed, relevant, and supportive guidance to aspiring actors navigating the audition process.
I tailor my coaching to the specific needs and goals of each student, providing personalised lessons that focus on unlocking your full potential. If a question arises that I can’t immediately answer, I have a vast network of professionals I can reach out to for advice, so you're always getting the most up-to-date guidance. I’m passionate about sharing the techniques, tips, and tricks I’ve learned throughout my training and career, and I love helping others achieve their aspirations in the acting world. Join my classes online or in person, and together we’ll work towards realising your acting dreams.

My tutoring approach is centred on creating a supportive environment where students can explore their creativity and develop their skills. Each lesson is tailored to individual needs, focusing on personalised feedback, practical techniques, and confidence building. I draw from acting methods by Stanislavsky, Michael Chekhov, and Jacques Lecoq, and offer strategies for drama school auditions, including detailed text analysis and finding the perfect material. Lessons are 60 minutes long, allowing ample time for warm-up exercises, technique work, and in-depth scene or monologue exploration. The sessions are flexible, accommodating students' schedules and specific goals, whether for urgent audition prep or ongoing skill development.
My lessons cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced students, and are suitable for teenagers to adults. Whether aiming to get into a top drama school, preparing for a specific audition, or improving acting skills, my tailored approach helps students succeed. Join my classes online to enhance your acting skills and prepare for auditions with confidence. Together, we will work towards unlocking your full potential and achieving your acting dreams.

I have known Michael all of his life. I knew he was a born performer after seeing him give a flawless recital of 'The Court Of King Caractacus' aged 5. It was no surprise then, that in his early teens, he walked into lead roles in youth theatre in productions of Our Day Out and Blood Brothers.
After completing a foundation course in London he made his professional debut performing in Blue Stockings at the Storyhouse Theatre in Chester. Although not a lead role, there were several moments where he owned the stage and almost stole the show.
Michael then continued to follow his dream and was offered a place at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. His virtuoso performances, innovative productions, flamboyant personality and boundless enthusiasm for acting made him a firm favourite amongst tutors and students alike.
Michael is now looking to share his passion and enthusiasm as a performance artist in a tutorial and mentoring capacity to help others on the path to following their dream.
I have no hesitation I recommending Michael to help you do just that.I have known Michael for many years and can testify to his popularity with everyone he meets. He is personable, entertaining and is passionate about his craft. He commits wholeheartedly to any projects he undertakes, proving himself to be reliable and trustworthy.
Michael's tutoring was fantastic. He has a practical approach with insightful feedback that made learning the craft both enjoyable and effective. He tailors his lessons to each student's needs, helping them grow and develop confidence in every session. If you're serious about improving your theater skills, I can thoroughly recommend Michael.
I worked with Michael while he taught students ranging from ages 6-17. His kind-natured and passionate approach was always well received and he developed a great rapport with his students. He is extremely reliable, patient and very approachable.
If you're looking for something a little bit different, Michael is your tutor. I can highly recommend him. Not only can he offer diversity, but he is also able to see your potential and build on this, playing to your strengths and building your confidence before tackling any weaknesses.
He joined WAPA (Wirral Academy of Performing Arts), from a young age and spent his youth training in all aspects of acting. He was later recruited as Head of Drama at Forest Lake Camp in New York and spent 8 weeks teaching children of various ages. In his early twenties he worked professionally as an actor at Chester Storyhouse, and then went on to complete a 3-year degree at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Michael has extended his repertoire, with years of experience and now writes his own scripts, directs and makes theatre.
Michael is well liked, respected and equally respectful to others. If you are venturing out for the first time or even consider yourself already to be an actor and just want some tips, Michael will help you enormously as not only does he understand the industry, he understands the dream.View more recommendations
