About Nikki
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Cambridge, with experience in applying for History, Politics and Economics related degrees.
I currently have a 100% A* rate at A-level for my tutees. I teach via Socratic dialogue and typically pitch my lessons at a higher level than the qualification a student is undertaking eg. Undergraduate level English for A-level English. I will therefore be challenging students to the best of their abilities, but will, of course, cater to the individual needs of each and every student at all levels.
Having achieved between 95-100% (top grades 9s) in History and English at GCSE and 3 A*s in A-level History, English & Politics and an A in A-level Maths, I aspire to:
- Ensure students are maximising their potential.
- Inspire confidence in students.
- Sharpen conceptual knowledge.
- Strengthen essay structure and exam technique.
- Share my valuable insights on achieving top grades at GCSE and A-level.

Suitable to learners of any ability, usually studying for GCSE, A-level and university Entrance examinations.
Key focus on exam technique as well as conceptual understanding.
Typically 1 hour lessons but can be flexible.
I achieved 75/75 on AQA’s A-level ‘Love Through the ages’ literature paper 1 and 73/75 in the post-1945 literature paper 2.
My texts studied were: The Great Gatsby, Pre-1900 Love Poetry Anthology, The Winter’s Tale, A Streetcar Named Desire, Feminine Gospels, The Handmaid’s Tale
I received A*s in all my OCR A-level history written papers including 1919-1963 Germany, Rebellion & Disorder in the Tudor period and Britain 1930-97 as well as 38/40 on my coursework.
I have a wealth of material on these topics in particular.
I have experience with the Thinking Skills Assessment where I received 23/25 on the Critical Thinking Section placing me in the top 1-2% of all Oxford and Cambridge applicants who sat the test.
