About Amy
I have always loved maths and achieved top grades at GCSE, A level and degree level. I have worked for the last 15 years in FTSE 100 companies in analytical roles. I believe my experience helps children to see how maths can be applied in the real world and my sympathetic and patient approach goes down well with my students

I am approachable, sympathetic and patient with my students. I believe that a lot of the challenge for students when it comes to maths is fear and a lack of confidence. I aim to boost confidence by helping the student to see that they can understand a topic and we knock them down together one at a time.
I start sessions with some recap questions from last time and then I work through a series of questions with my students where I demonstrate, we do together and then they try on their own.
I am flexible to adjust my focus if they have specific areas they want to focus on at any given time or if they have a test coming up etc.
