About Matt
I am a professional Audio Engineer, session keyboard musician and classically trained pianist with extensive and current experience in teaching music production (studio-level recording, mixing and mastering) in both stereo and Dolby Atmos formats. I trained as an Audio Engineer at the prestigious Dean Street Studios in London working on projects for Florence + The Machine, Headie One, JME, Boy George and Claudia Valentina. I have considerable experience working on Dolby Atmos projects for Holly Humberstone, Tom Grennan, Ayra Starr, Jessie Ware and Sub Focus. I currently serve as an in-house Audio Engineer for multiple artists across studio and touring. Recent Music Directing credits include Lancey Foux’s much acclaimed “All Points East” Headline Show in 2024 as well as the "Conglomerate UK Live Listening Experience". I hold a First-Class honours degree in Music and Sound Recording from the University of York, specialising in Dolby Atmos technology. I attained an ABRSM Level 4 Diploma in Piano Performance (ARSM) with Distinction, having also completed all formal ABRSM grades (1-8) with Distinctions.

I work with students to provide tailored tuition on modern music production. This includes advanced recording, mixing and mastering techniques in both stereo and Dolby Atmos. I provide practical 1:1 training in music production software: Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Ableton Live, for users at all levels, adopting the latest industrial practices in contemporary work-flow and state-of-the-art plug-ins. Tuition is provided online or in a professional studio environment in North London, equipped with high-end vocal recording and music production capabilities for both analogue and digital workflows.

Matt has completely changed the way I work in Pro Tools. I was struggling with getting a solid workflow but he broke things down step by step. I feel much more confident making tunes and have tools I didn’t know I needed. His studio is very well equipped. Would definitely recommend Matt.

Matt is an absolute wizard with Pro Tools. I really wanted to get to grips with the software for making my own music and after a couple of very productive one-to-one sessions I was able to use Pro Tools with high confidence. Matt’s teaching of stem file preparation was absolutely key for Pro Tools, and his creative application of plug-ins was awesome, making a massive change to the tonality and dynamics of my music. It's the best 2-hours I have spent in music production bar none!! First rate audio engineer – highly recommended.
