About Dequan
I am a classically trained musician who has a teaching background ,both my parents are teachers, and I have always been passionate about education.
I want to teach to offer help and to inspire students in the same way I have been inspired. Music has been an amazing companion and the lessons learnt from it go far beyond the practice room. The discipline acquired and required will serve young people well in adult life and the confidence that you build will be amazing. Playing music is fun and interesting; you learn more about yourself and the world around you.

Experience as a teacher has been 4+ years with groups and private pupils in the Caribbean working for a non profit organisation.
I am well acquainted with the Trinity College London exams and have completed my ATCL in Cello Performance so I can coach for these exams for those who are interested.
Lessons are for 50 minutes and are typically geared towards those who are serious about cello, however, all levels of proficiency are encouraged!
At this time, my age range for teaching is 8 - 18, however older students are welcome to apply.
