I am a Conservatoire-trained cellist with over 15 years of professional performance experience. I offer personalised cello lessons for students of all ages and abilities, combining strong technical foundations with a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. With over 15 years of performance experience and Conservatoire training, I bring a practical, real-world approach to music-making. Whether you are a complete beginner, working through graded exams, or developing advanced repertoire, I aim to support steady progress and a genuine understanding of the instrument.
Lessons can include technique, scales, repertoire, sight-reading, and musical interpretation, always adapted to your personal interests and aspirations. My goal is to help you become not only a better cellist, but a more confident and expressive musician.

Before our next lesson, I’d recommend keeping practice short and relaxed (around 5–10 minutes at a time). Focus on getting comfortably set up with the cello, naming and plucking the four open strings (A, D, G and C), and practising setting up a relaxed bow hold. You can also experiment with some slow bows on the open strings, if you would like focusing on keeping your shoulder and arm relaxed rather than worrying about producing a perfect sound just yet.
