About Ed
I am a professional drummer, having performed and recorded internationally for around 23 years. I have been teaching privately on-and-off for 12 years, and more recently teaching Diploma and Advanced Diploma students at Melbourne Polytechnic. I have a degree in music performance improvisation from the Victorian College of the Arts. I enjoy drumming and teaching in various styles. I also studied sound production/design which is a mutually beneficial discipline.

I like to help my students to investigate the broad range of musical styles that exist, and to help make people dance. I also have a focus on making a drum kit sound good both acoustically in a space, and when recorded.
